FAQ

How do I choose the right therapist?

During our initial phone call, we will ask you questions to gather information so that we can match you with the right therapist based on your needs and the clinician’s area of specialty. We encourage you to ask questions during this phone call and during our initial consultation to help us better understand your needs and concerns.

Do you take insurance?

We are considered Out-Of-Network (OON) providers. This means that we provide invoices/superbills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement rates depend on your specific insurance plan. Please contact your insurance provider and ask about your benefits for details.

Questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Does my policy include mental health benefits?

  • Does my policy include OON benefits?

  • Is there an annual deductible I need to meet prior to getting coverage for OON mental health benefits? If so, how much?

  • Is there a limit on the amount of sessions my plan covers per year?

  • Do I have a copay for OON mental health benefits?

  • Are virtual sessions covered by my plan?

  • Do you require pre-approval of sessions?

  • Do you cover the following CPT/billing codes:

    • 90834 (Psychotherapy 45 minutes)

    • 90847 (Family psychotherapy with patient present)

    • 90846 (Family psychotherapy without patient present)

Will you provide me with a Good Faith Estimate?

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, if you are uninsured or not planning on submitting your claims to your insurance company, your therapist will give you a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the cost range of services through a specified date so you know what to expect financially. If you are planning to submit your claims to your insurance company, you also have the right to receive a GFE upon request. As you and your therapist work together, additional services might need to be added depending on different therapeutic factors. In that case, your GFE would be updated to reflect additional services. How long does therapy last?

The duration and frequency varies based on many factors, including the nature and severity of your mental health concerns, your specific therapeutic goals, and the amount of time needed to reach them. We will check in throughout our work together to make sure we are addressing your goals and that our work together continues to meet your needs.

Do you offer telehealth or in-person therapy?

We are currently primarily providing services in-person and via telehealth. You can speak with your therapist to determine what might work best for you.
