KATRINA KESSLER, LGPC

Katrina is a therapist who works with children, families and adults in Maryland under a supervisor as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. With over a decade of experience in the mental health world, Katrina has helped children, adolescents, college students, mothers and parents navigate life’s stressors. Katrina uses an integrative approach when working with clients such as incorporating talk therapy, mindfulness, expressive arts, nature and attachment work.  She believes one of her super powers is the ability to have empathy and understanding for everyone’s own experience. Katrina believes in collaborating with the client, as there is no one size fits all approach when working with an individual.

She specializes in parenting work and is trained in Dr. Becky’s Good Inside method, which she uses to help parents feel more confident and at ease in their parenting journey. Katrina has a passion for helping women navigate boundary work, people-pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, codependency, grief and post-partum mental health. Katrina also has experience in supporting spouses or families who have a family member suffering from an addiction.

Katrina lives in Howard County, Maryland with her husband, two kids and dog! Katrina enjoys spending time outdoors, especially on a hiking trail with her family. Katrina delights in traveling, trying out new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. However she also finds a lot of contentment from curling up in bed with a good book or watching videos of adorable animals after the kids have gone to bed.
